Anyone have any recipes for smoothies, shakes, or anything else?

  • Blend:
    1 Banana
    a few fresh frozen strawberries
    a few fresh frozen blue berries
    a little honey
    crushed ice

    ....the perfect meal

    also add:
    squeeze the juice of a fresh orange
    and a few grapes to the recipe above

    my fav is:

    1/2 cup frozen berries
    1 cup of yogurt

  • a half of a frozen banana
    4 oz greek yogurt
    4 oz non-fat milk
    1 Tbsp natural peanut butter
    and if you want -- 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder

    Obviously, the protein powder is going to up the calories, but it also adds a great nutritional punch. Its not super low-cal but not that bad either, IMO. Its VERY filling and tastes like a Reece's PB cup milkshake ;) Its a great recovery shake after a hard workout or a filling breakfast shake when you are going to be out all morning and dont want to be tempted to hit the drive-thrus ;)
