Make fauxtatoes without a blender or food processor?

Mine are both on the fritz. Will it work if I just mash them up with a fork?

And I want to add some Laughing Cow to them, but am not sure how I should go about it.

Anybody have any ideas?

Are you making them with cauliflower?

I just steam mine until it is extra mushy then smash it with a fork or just an electric beater. To add laughing cow I just dump it in while the cauliflower is piping hot and stir stir stir!

It's just cauliflower that you mash so it looks like mashed potatoes. I'm going to try and fool my husband into eating them tonight.

They're delish! Everyone makes them a little differently but basically you steam some cauiflower and mash it up with whatever ingredients you'd like. I use a little garlic, salt, pepper, and some lowfat cheese and a little skim milk to make them creamier.

Healthier than a regular potato and just as tasty. My boyfriend always has to ask me if it was real potato or "fake".

So does it taste similar to mashed potatoes?

Can you make a mix of mashed potatoes and cauliflower?

I've seen recipes where people did half and half , potatoes/cauliflower. It doesn't taste just like mashed potatoes but its a pretty good substitute. I don't find myself missing mashed taters
