One year - not a big loss, but a big change

I lost around 36 pounds over the first 8 months and have been fairly stable in maintenance since then. I knew starting out that I wouldn’t take time away from working with my dogs or around my property to go to a gym. The solution was right under my nose - just do more. Groom another dog, do some yard work, haul equipment. Adding my Fitbit showed me what a huge difference it makes to move more.

I didn’t take before-and-after photos, but ringside candids from two spring National Specialty shows will serve. Those pants were a size 14 and were, of course, black to hide as much as possible. The suit is a size 8.

I have started strength training the last few months, and it will be a long process. I’m okay with that. This is not a diet or a fad, it is simply life. It’s what I AM.

Forget the numbers - especially now that you're doing strength training.

Your pics tell the story better than a scale will. Congratulations :)

You look as tall and lean as the borzois!

And good job on the strength - those can be some sizable dogs.

I wouldn't call 37 pounds "a little weight" either. That's probably over 20% of your starting weight.
