I have lost 24 pounds so far. And although I am not at my goal weight, I am still so happy with my body. I am a new woman. I'm totally confident in myself. I get hit on all the time  and I really believe it's because I carry myself in a much different way than I used to. My head is held high, I have a bigger smile on my face, I just have like a new twinkle that wasn't there before. I saw a friend of mine yesterday who I haven't seen since February. She saw me and was like "oh my gosh you look sooo good! You look totally different than the last time I saw you!" It's amazing because it seems like such a long hard journey sometimes, but within 3 months you can look like a totally different person. She's struggling with her weight and she was asking how I'm doing it. I told her that it's really just about doing it. Ya know we make all these excuses but if we'd just do it, it becomes so easy. I used to say oh I'll start tomorrow all the time. The thing is I'd never start. You have to make a decision to do it now. Just get up off your butt and go for a walk. Choose to buy healthy food instead of all those sugary snacks. It really doesn't matter what you do as long as you eat better and move more. And it's not gonna happen over night. But it will happen. I'm at a point where the weight isn't coming off as quickly as it did when I first started. Does that get me down? Nope. My body is still changing even if it's slower. My stomach is getting smaller and smaller even though the number on the scale isn't. I'm losing 1 pound every 1 to 2 weeks and I'm totally fine with that. Don't get discouraged. Keep working hard. You'll see that it becomes a way of life. It feels normal to go for a jog. Oranges become dessert. Sweat feels good. Don't get so focused on the weight. Do this for your health. You are important and you deserve a long healthy life. Don't get down on yourselves. Keep working hard and you can do it!

Well said! I used to always "spin the excuse wheel" to find a reason not to do anything but veg out in front of the TV and eat. Now eventhough I am not able to do much for exercise - (YET!!) I still try to keep busy or visit a friend - no food involved! In March of this year I could only do 2 mins on the elliptical - today I did 11 minutes - no medication. My goal is to do 30 min a day for the rest of my life. I am also able to walk for 60 min at 3 MPH. Not much to the hard core guys on here but really good for me!
You are a great, positive minded young lady. I wish you well.
