Alright, i do want to cut out all unwanted sugar (except fruit) Can anyone give me some examples of what you eat that doesn't have a ton of sugar and healthy ideas to add to my list?

For me .. I drink my coffee black, no sweets (actually very little sweets, I will eat a weight watchers brownie now and again) no soft drinks at all .. regular or diet. I don't eat sugary cereals, I don't add sugar to anything like oatmeal or my tea or coffee. For everything else I just read the labels to get a good idea of what the sugar content is.
It hides in places you'd never expect. You're going to get some .. just make a conscious effort and wise choices.0 -
i have started eating grits, really like them lightly salted with eggs OM. peanut butter, veggies. sadly i was looking at some cereals that was supose to be healthy and they were all loaded with sugar...ugh. cabbage is real low calorie to. pretty much if it comes in a box stay clear of it. i have started back cooking myself, use to think it was kinda pointless just for me, except hunny started taking left overs to work instead of his normal sonic. just read the labels.0

I like almond butter. Not really a sweet eater so I can't think of anything other then fruit that would appeal to me. My issue is salt. Sorry.0

TUNA! 0 sugar, carbs, and trans fats. High on Omega-3 and Protein. Chicken of the sea 4oz can only has 100 calories. Easy way to add protein and flavor to meals and still cutting the sugar and carbs...
Also Soy Milk unsweetened0 -
Read your labels, sugar is in almost everything we eat. The natural foods are the best to look at, but even they can use "natural" sources of sugar. The post shredded wheat (the plain one!) I eat has no sugar, and I buy a natural peanut butter with only 6g for 2 TBSP. Natural grains (unflavored rice and quinoa) are low in sugar as well as certain veggies (though look at those too before shopping, some carry a high sugar content as well). I have not looked at many products geared for diabetics, but these products may be lower in sugar and/or have no added sugar--worth a look.0
