hi all,

i started at 19 kilos overweight for my height. i'm 155cm (5'1") SW: 79kg (174lb) CW: 74kg (162lb).

got my BMR, TDEE and goal amount of daily calories for weight loss from scoobysworkshop calorie calculator. based on a weight loss program calculated to 1414 calories i started at 1400 calories over the last 5 weeks. i have continued my usual walking activity for cardio and increased my errands to make use of exercise to help start my weight loss and i believed i would lose around 2, maybe 3 kg if i was lucky. i ended up losing 5 kg! a whole 1 kg a week! very happy with this progress as i have PCOS and have not had success with weight loss before, so i'm pleased with myself for staying on course. i have changed these two habits: overeating (having poor portion sizes) and not eating the right foods to maintain optimum health.

since changing my diet, cutting out excess sugars slowly and removing 95% of the unhealthy fats i was eating i am enjoying this new lifestyle of a varied, flavourful, natural diet. i really love fruit and peanut butter and leafy green salads so i make use of these foods as meals. trying to get more water into my days... need to drink more. i still have the occasional cheat food within daily calorie limits and i'm changing a few other things slowly over time, but reaching my goal weight of 60 kg by sometime close to christmas would make me really happy, as it's summer here in NZ at that time. ;)
