I've done the whole yoyo diet thing and I know the only thing that really works for me is a food diary AND exercise. I am such a visual person it helps to see things that are concrete and I love the tally at the end of the day that says the results I would have if I did this every day! It made me smile! Today is my first day. I figure that smile sticks with me a lot longer than the smile a donut, etc could put on my face (and then the guilt kicks in
) I know I eat when I'm tired, so I still need to figure out what to do when I automatically go to food for comfort for myself because I can't rest (three kids and a husband). Any support would be great!!!

thank you!!! I really love the support here....I think that is what I was missing! My husband is fantastic and in a similar place as me with all of this, so we are there for each other, but he's at work a lot, which is when I have a tendency to overeat (loneliness and about a million other triggers
). this has been wonderful to have someone right there, that understand and can hold me accountable. Have a fantastic day!

Hello and welcome to MFP. If support is what you need that is exactly what you will get on here... I started my diet in July, and started MFP in August and it changed my life... it started as a diet but turned into learning how to eat. and know I am able to do things I wasn't able to before. Like portioning my food...and knowing how many calories certain things had... I laid off of all fast foods completely, no more sodas. all I drink all day is water, anything else now hurts my tummy.... but enough about me.
