How to choose goal weight?

How did you decide on your goal weight? I was looking at a BMI, and for my height and age there is a decent range in what's healthy. Between 111.5 pounds and 150 pounds.

Maybe determine what frame size you have. Wrap your index finger around your wrist and have it touch your thumb. If your fingers don't meet, you have a large frame. If they touch, you have a medium frame. If they overlap, you have a small frame. If you have a small frame, your goal weight should be in the lower range of your BMI healthy weight range. If you have a medium frame, it should be right in the middle. If you have a large frame, it should be in the high end of your healthy weight range.
For example, I am a healthy weight but I am in the middle of my healthy weight range and i recently discovered that I have a small frame. So I should be more like 120-133lbs instead of 134-155. A smaller framed person will look more flabby with the same amount of weight as a larger framed person.0 -
That's really good advice! I can't wrap my fingers around comfortably. I can touch them if I try hard enough, but I feel like that doesn't count as being able to touch them together.0
