new to MFP

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I joined last week, but haven't done much yet. 2 friends and I are going to start exercising to a video 3 times a week in the morning. I'm hoping I'll be able to keep up with them. I've been overweight most of my life (and all of my adult life). I've never learned much about portion control or what to eat to lose weight. With my family, it was always "clean your plate." So now, I feel like I have lots to learn and not much time to learn it. LOL I could use all the friends and support I can get. Thanks for listening to me rant.

    welcome and I hope that we can help you on your journey....One thing to remember, we are ALL doing this...together... :) Congrats on trying to make your self healthier and on the meantime, here's hoping you meet some friends along the way ! :)
