Success from the start!

I've been using MyFitnessPal for a little over a week, and I'm already seeing results. This week, I lost three pounds, which is great considering that this week was Thanksgiving and I've been eating turkey and mashed potatoes since Wednesday.
I am using MyFitnessPal to track my measurements and calories and have been playing EA Sports Active on the Wii for most of my exercise. I average burning about 200 calories per 30-minute session. My father and I also lift free weights twice a week.

Congrats with the early success! Keep up the good work and don't get discouraged if you don't see the same progress every week.0

Excellent! I know that's a great feeling :flowerforyou: I wish you best of luck on your journey; just remember to not get discouraged when the scale doesn't move or you feel like you haven't been doing well: we're human and if you're working out & lifting weights, you're building muscle as you burn fat: you may put on a couple lbs of muscle for each couple lbs of fat you lose (when I first started that's what happened, took me forever to "lose" weight, but I forgot to take into account that I was building muscles!).
Stick with it & don't ever give up :flowerforyou: Welcome to your New Lifestyle :happy:0 -
Good job! I kind of wish I had a Wii now...my 360 isn't going to help much haha0

Congrats! I had the same type of results the first two weeks too. I lost 5 pounds, but now seem to be leveling off. It's making me frustrated because of the great start I had. But keep doing what you're doing! Wish you much success ahead!0

It will if you get the Kinect attachment0 -
I've heard good things about Kinect and Playstation Move as well as the Wii. There's a game called "Your Shape", available for all three consoles, that uses its own webcam to track your movements as you do yoga and strength training poses.0

Great job! Keep up the good work! I've heard about these other platform attachments as well. I have the Wii, but I'm curious. What does everyone think of the other systems? Do you feel you get a good workout from them?

I don't have any system other than the Wii. But I played Kinect at a friend's house and it was pretty cool. Not quite a workout, but the concept is cool.0
