Hello all who may read this,
This is going to sound a bit like an internet forum version of an AA meeting testimonial but it must be done.
I'm 40 years old and I've been fat most of my life. I have had times were I've been in control and sat at my ideal weight and what's more, managed to maintain it. But more often than not I've been fat. Not overweight, fat. I say this because I need to admit it. My problems with overeating, inactivity and medical complications that have arisen from that are all my fault.
Dull part over and now the slightly more fun part.... well no promises.
I've got the ripe old age of 40 and decided enough is enough. It's time to change!!!! It's time to buy a new road bike!!! It's time to start wearing lycra (it's really not a pretty sight) I've always loved cycling and over the past year I've got more and more in road bikes. Coming from a MTB previously you start to realise that you can spend thousands of pounds on carbon this and carbon that to make everything as light as possible to enable you to power up hills. Only if you are a fat bloke you are throwing away money. I don't like throwing away money (my family is from Yorkshire)
So, it's a full on loggathon from here on in and I'm looking for others to take that journey with me!!!! (not literally, you won't fit on my bike)
I'm looking for a few people who I can be inspired by, motivated by and above all share a bit of camaraderie with. If that sounds like you, then please add me and I'll add you back.
Thanks for reading if you got this far then big tick, pat on the back.
