So I only had like 1000 calories today and I aim for 1200 everyday but I already had breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack. It's 7:10 pm and I'm thinking about making a fruit salad but a lot of people say it's better not to eat fruit when it's later in the day because of the sugar or whatever. Does it really matter? If it does, what can I eat to get my calories to 1200 or so?

It doesn't matter, eat the fruit.0

Timing is irrelevant. Eat what you want, when you want to so long as it fits your calorie and macro nutrient goals.0

You're fine eating it.0

Timing means little. Its calories in vs calories out
I agree with everyone else eat the fruit

1200 calories is too few. Eat the fruit, and I would recommend calculating your TDEE because 1200 is practically starving yourself.0

Like the others have said, timing is irrelevant. Enjoy them any time of the day when you want them.
Fruits and veggies are good choices as they tend to be more filling. I dare you to try to eat a 1,000 calories of broccoli, that's hard.0 -
I too find myself at night time craving a littl esomething sweet. I absolutely agree with the others if it fits within your caloric intake then eat it!0

Eat a piece of fruit and 20 grams or so of nuts. BAM! 200 calories0
