is there a point where you finally start dropping pounds?

So I started actually logging my food and exercise two weeks ago and the first week I dropped two pounds, this week I gained back 1.6. Thing is, I've lost an inch in my waist and half an inch in my hips. My gf asked if I can "reward" myself now with earrings but I told her my rewards are based on pounds lost. Is there a point where your body gets used to the working out and stops gaining but rather losing? I'm happy about the inches, but I want the numbers to go down!

I wouldn't worry so much about the weight on the scale. The reason we track inches is because although your weight on the scale may not be changing your body still might be, an inch and a half in two weeks is a great accomplishment and truth be told the first week everyone has a pretty significant drop in weight (which is mostly water weight) then the 2nd week is usually the toughest! Alot of factors could play into your "gain" water intake, sodium intake, carbs, weight training ect. if your losing inches you must be doing something right!

    Congrats on your loss!!:flowerforyou:

wieght doesn't fall off at first. you have to stick at it for a godo period of time and then you'll find that the wieght will keep coming off. don't treat yourself with foods, but with other things, as you strength and willpower will improve, hope thats some help, :) Z.
