Winter and Calorie

Perhaps I am kidding myself but since the cold arrive (about 1 week and 1/2) I feel that I need to eat more.
I am not talking about eating more junk but I feel I need more to feel warm and full. We have in between 0 and -5 degree C at the moment (-8 this morning) and despite managing with my diet calorie I have found it hard.

Am I burning more calorie than usual? I am working in an office that is heating but I am outside for at least 1 hour a day.

Anyway I have just decided to set my goal to -1lbs a week rather -1.5. It adds 160 calories a day to my diet so I hope that will do until the temperature goes up a little bit.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Although there is a possibility that you are burning more, it is not likely the case. Our bodies are programmed to want to eat more during colder months to store fat as an insulater (keep warmth in). In the summer we tend to want to eat less when we are hot since we want to shed the insulation. Try dressing warmer and it might help.
