So, I'm sick. I have a cold, cough, nose, and fever.

Agh!

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas how many calories I should add for being sick (I'm trying to gain weight). I've been meeting my calorie goals but my body needs a little extra!

Thanks.

feed a cold, starve a fever...

if you are running a temperature... i would eat things that make you feel comfortable and settle with your system. you cant go wrong with soup or flavored rice. worry about gaining weight until after you feel better.

You need to eat more than your diet calories when you are ill, recovery will take much longer if you don't. Switch to maintenance for a few days until you are feeling better again. Keep warm and well hydrated x

    Edited to add:
Sorry, just read your profile and saw that you are gaining not loosing. In that case eat well x

Thanks guys! I was just freaking out because I weighed in this morning losing another half pound. I'll just eat what I feel like eating and listen to my body.
