since i was young i have suffered with bad growing pains in my lower legs,
a constant throbbing/ache really bad pain, but i am now 23 and have been getting them numerous times each year and haven't grown since about 17.....
so i don't understand how it can be growing pains if i am not growing...and it cant be from doing too much exercise because tbh i haven't done enough
what is wrong with me :S lol how can it be growing pains :S should i go to the doctors?
i APOLOGISE for asking this as i realise it is the wrong place but i am really suffering tonight and in a lot of pain and i just wanted some help...
thank you for any help fay x

Yep, you should get it checked out by a doctor or internist. Too old for "growing pains".0

My sons legs have short tendons, he actually learned to walk on his tip toes and still does to this day (he's 17). He would get pains when growing or if he didn't get enough activity because they need to constantly be stretched and worked. His dad had tendon lengthening surgery as a child, so we worked with him to make sure he didnt have to have the surgery...
I have no clue if this is the same issue, but thought I'd share.. (his dad STILL has excrustiating pains sometimes)0 -

Yeah--go see a doctor... you could have something weird going on with your bones themselves, too, so better to go get checked out now rather than wait and pay the price.0

For your age, I'd think it is probably really tight muscles, ligaments, and tendons. If you feel relief from stretching, that's probably the case. If it is more then stretching can fix, see your doctor.
As for your Mom, at her age I'd recommend seeing a cardiologist. That sounds more like peripheral artery disease in someone that age. It can be a sign of underlying atherosclerosis. It takes a specialist to rule that out so have her see a doctor too.0 -
Hi fairy, maybe you need to do some stretching. I have suffered in the past with pain in my lowere extremities and yoga has made a significant difference in my pain. This might help.0
