About a month ago I decided to recalculate my numbers because I hadn't changed them since I began losing weight. I used the scoobysworkshop.com entered in all my numbers, looked at my results and thought "Huh, that's a lot of calories a day." (I'm using TDEE - 20%).

In the past month, I have gone back and forth between 202, 201, 203 on the scale. No joke. Every danged day one of those three numbers comes up on the scale. I do weigh and measure my food so it wasn't that.

If you've been on MFP for any length of time and you use the TDEE method, you already know what's coming. I was eating AT my TDEE not 20% UNDER it. I give that calculator a lot of credit. It did accurately calculate my TDEE.

The news isn't all bad. Even though my weight didn't change, I lost a pants size!

Really, nothing wrong with eating at TDEE for a month. Now you have some great data about your TDEE for moving forward!

Yes, there's a great lesson you learned that many in the "Maintaining Weight" category struggle with finding--you KNOW your maintenance level. Well, it won't always be that (it will change as you lose--you know that, of course). But...it is reassuring to know that the calculator you used is fairly accurate for you, and you can TRUST the math now. That is a comforting thing.

Congrats, you're doing something right, AND lost a pants size in the process! That is cause for celebration :drinker:
