C25k - ok to skip ahead?

Hey running people
I'm completely new to running but I'm not exactly "couched" either. I'm in ok shape & not overweight. I started c25k week 1 and felt like I wasn't really doing anything. I tested myself and I can run at a 10 min mile pace for about a mile and a half before I start to want to kill myself. Lol
I feel like a want to skip to week 5 day 1 which is 3 sets of run 5min / walk 3min. Would this be safe? I don't want to hurt myself!
Thanks!

There is no reason you can't. If you find it is too much, you can always bump back down a bit or repeat a week.
It is designed to give you a base and condition the muscles that may not be used to running, but if you already have a fitness base and aren't experiencing any issues, I'd move up.0 -
Ok great! Thank you.0
