I love Brussel Sprouts, is this for fresh sprouts only or can frozen be used?

I use frozen ones! I get the individual serving steam fresh bags. It probably has 10-12 of the mini brussle sprouts in there. It's the perfect size for me, seeing how my husband refuses to eat them.
I've never cooked with frozen brussels sprouts: this is good to know!

I made them this way for thanksgiving. It was one of those things that I knew I liked, but hadn't had in a LONG time, and i figured would be one of the few things that wasn't covered in butter or a cream of some sort. They were delicious. The only thing I did differently was to halve them so they were a little more manageable on a plate. Otherwise... they were full of yum!

Loopy Toucan- Yes! I love using the parm-lemon-chili combo! It's great for various hearty greens (i.e. Kale, chard, spinach). It is so simple and perfect.....oh yeah i almost forgot. LOTS of garlic!! I love your suggestion of shaving them. It takes a little more time but after you do the prep they are so quick and easy to cook. Saute olive oil, garlic, chili flake add in crimini mushrooms and maybe some shredded kale, your shaved sprouts, a little stock and then finish with parm and lemon ! (:
