hernia repair with bowel resection

Hi! This is my first time posting on here and i have a very serious question. A little background about me first, i am 32 year old female. I have been on a weightloss journey for about 5 months. I am 5 ft 2 and my starting weight was 290 lbs. I am now down to 244 which is a HUGE deal for me cuz ive never lost more than 20 lbs on my own. I started off with eating right and walking, then i built myself up to a great cardio routine with body weight exercises. Thats when i noticed the most changes in my body.
Ok, so i have had a very large hernia from c sections in my groin area and also a ventral one in ny navel also quite large. I had had them repaired several times and the docs wouldnt operate anymore until i lost 100 lbs which is my ultimate goal weight. Last week i got very sick and had to have those hernias repaired by emergency surgery which included a bowel resection. The drs did not use mesh and has also said that i can no longer do any exersice other than walking.
This is a problem for me because i need the activity to get the weight off and to avoid over eating. I really dont wanna have weightloss surgery for several reasons but the main one being once i hit goal weight they will do abdominal reconsructive surgery. Any info and advice would be helpful because i am really at a loss and feeling like i get up only to be knocked back down everytime.

Exercise speeds the process, but you can lose weight by reducing calories and carbohydrates.
Due to your special medical situation, it's best to work with a Registered Dietitian, or in a doctor-supervised weight loss program.0
