Bike Seat question

for the women with big/wide *kitten*'s. (size 28 pant)
I don't have access to a place that will measure my "sit bones" so that's not an option for me.
I need suggestions for good bike seats for hour or so long bike rides.
The seat that came on my bike is wide set, but I am still in pain after about a mile of riding. Standing is not an option when riding. I'm terrified enough being on the thing. Yes.. the thing.. because I haven't ridden a bike since I was 12, even then I hated it. But I am starting to enjoy it more and more.

The following links have a couple of ways you can get an approximate measurement of your sit bones from the comfort of your own home.
