Weekend remorse

UGH! I do bootcamp three days a week...midweek. I stick to my diet plan....then the weekend comes and I eat and drink way too much with friends, don't work out, don't track my food intake and generally feel like a complete loser Monday morning. I've done this two weeks in a row now. What is wrong with me?!

You have to decide which is more important to you and work on finding a balance.

I do this A LOT too.
For me, i think the key is to bounce back really good on Monday... when I do this-- i get back to even by, Wednesday or so....
that being said, it's like losing 4-5 days of progress each week, so when i really go off-track on the weekends I usually maintain rather than lose any weight. This cycle gets me no where.

Since my goal IS to lose, I am trying even harder to keep my "fun" to one day on the weekend, and to stay as close to my calorie goal as possible. I even push to do an early morning workout on Saturday and/ or Sunday. Every bit helps!

You don't have to stop enjoying time with your friends. But if you actually feel like a loser every Monday, how beneficial is this to your self esteem and long term happiness? Sometimes it helps to find one friend in the group that has similar goals to you, and then support each other by practicing moderation and learning how to have fun with everyone without necessarily blowing your weightloss goals completely out of the water.

What they said. Also it doesn't mean you can't have any fun. Try to plan an early morning workout on the weekends, my goal is to have gone to the gym and be home by the time my husband wakes up. This buys you some extra calories and if you schedule an appt with a class you are less likely to stay out late as you know you'll have to be up early. Also try to limit yourself to one or two lighter cocktails and eat something with nutritional value even if it's higher calorie.

Work the fun and food into your calorie goal.

If you know you're going out with girlfriends Saturday evening, then get a good workout done in the morning, get prettied up and then go rock it with the girls, but make sure you are keeping things in check. There's no reason you have to cut out anything, just exercise some moderation.

And start logging the weekends. There really is no excuse to not log. Being lazy isn't a valid reason. If you really want to lose weight/get fit, you'll do what it takes to get there.

But, you can still get there while having fun. You just have to plan ahead and find the balance.

Ive been doing this a lot lately on the weekends, I decided today that I am putting a stop to it, so come the weekend, i will stop. Its very hard for myself on the weekends but you just got to know what you want more
