If you take fish oil as a supplement, you might just be wasting your money:

It could just be psychosomatic, but I've seen a huge improvement in my muscle recovery time since beginning to take fish oil daily. This is specifically why I started taking it, my heart is healthy on its own.
ETA: I've also seen improvement in my hair/nails - they are less prone to breakage, but that could also be a mix of things (diet, exercise, I get more sleep because I lift in the morning). It's hard to determine if one specific supplement is effective.0
