Question about Calories, TDEE, etc.

Hi, I've been tracking my calories for almost a month now to lose a bit of weight (around 8kg)
My BMR is 1410, my TDEE is 1692. I've been averaging about 1100-1200 calories and I don't exercise. I never feel weak or dizzy, thankfully. Do you think it would be bad to continue to eat like this? I feel comfortable but I'm worried after reading all the forums haha.

Think of calories like energy. If your BMR is 1410, you need that amount of energy in order for your organs to function if you were in a coma. Obviously, you are not in a coma. Fuel your body with the proper amount of energy and it will respond well. I've lost 20lbs eating from 1600-1800 calories. Today I consumed 2000 with exercise.
If you've read other forums like you said, you've probably viewed other responses to the same question. They're all going to tell you to eat more. You're going to hear the same thing over and over again. Don't net below your BMR. Simple as that.0 -
Oh I see, I didn't quite understand all the BMR and TDEE stuff before. Thank you, I will take your advice0

If you want to take off some weight then I would go with the TDEE calculation and subtract 5% to 10% from that to start with. You want to try and lose weight slowly so you don't put it back on later. The more calories you can eat and still lose weight, the better off you are in the long run.0

Eating below your BMR is not a death sentence...I did for the first 2 months I was here

I am not saying that below 1200 is a good idea but eating below bmr for a period of time is fine.
My goal has always been to eat as much as I can and still lose the weight I wanted...when I first got it here that meant below my BMR to lose 1lb a week...then it was to eat as much as I could and still lose 1/2lb a week...so I did...and here I am at maiteneance with no harm done to my metabolism. I maintain on 2100-2200 a day.0
