So, I'm Emily! Nice to meet everybody.
I finally decided to commit to my weight loss after going on to try Bridesmaid dresses yesterday, I felt disgusting about myself and was easily the biggest one in the room. I knew I had gained weight but not THAT much weight. I had gone through a breakup a few years ago with the guy I thought was the "the one" and looking back I was being super dramatic but whatever. It did hit me hard and between then and now I've put on almost 65lbs YIKES.
Anyway, I need to lose that 60lbs to get down to my goal weight and maybe feel somewhat good about myself. I'm only 5ft so any weight I do carry looks horrible.
So hi there!

Hi Emily and welcome. Good luck with your goals. Remember that a long term goal may include ups and downs. Don't get discouraged. Keep focused on your final goal and you will get there. Just take it one day at a time and realize that whatever changes you make need to be sustainable for the long term. So make them ones you are willing to stick with.0

I'm also new here. Trying once again to eat healthy and loose weight. I have been on an up and down hill battle since I had breast cancer 4 years ago. This is the heaviest I have weighed and I have lost my self confidence. Hoping to get a lot of support and encouragement from everyone. I have a goal weight but that is not what I am reaching for right now, right now is 10 pounds.0

Life events will cause us to turn to food for comfort sometimes, been there, done that, got a pair of "big girl" jeans for my troubles LOL
Hi I'm Kim and I know that feeling all too well! Buying a dress for an anniverary banquet three years ago was my 'come to Jesus" moment. I''m only 5'2 so any extra weight I gained showed in the worst areas of my body. I started with small changes like cutting out soda and walking 30 minutes a few days a week. Eventually I worked up to a little jog, some weight training and cutting out as much processed food as possible. There is no quick fix. Staying consistant in eathing healthy and some type of exercise is the key to getting the weight off and keeping it off. Three years later I am maintaining my ideal weight. I know you can do the same too. I wish you the best of luck.0 -
