Wedding Weight Loss - Is it even possible?

Hi everyone! I'm relatively new here. I have had the app on my phone for over a year, but I've just now started to use it. Terrible, I know. I'm currently 170 pounds and I really want to get to 150-155 pounds by my wedding. Ideally, I'd like to lose even more, but I'm trying to be realistic. My wedding is November 1, AKA 88 days. I've been going to the gym 4-5 times a week and doing cardio and weight training. I've been eating better, but I could be eating even better. So my question is this. I've literally never worked out a day in my life before about 2 weeks ago. All of that being said, is it possible to lose that much weight by the wedding? And any really good tips on how to do it? Thank you in advance!!

With 20lbs to lose, at a realistic pace, no, I personally don't think so. I'm sure there's unhealthy deficits you can put yourself on, but you're going to be miserable. You've got twelve weeks ish and if you set yourself at a reasonable deficit, I'd say you could lose about half that honestly.0

Since you're making big changes in your activity level & diet, it's certainly possible to lose 20-25 lbs. Make sure to get get enough protein, and take a multivitamin.
Are you going to gain it all back after the wedding? It takes a deep commitment not to.0 -
Don't think of the number, just working out will tone your body, and make you look better.0

I think 15 lbs is possible for most people. 5 lbs a month is pretty reasonable, especially since you're new to working out -- you'll have the benefits of dropping initial water and newbie gains with a new workout regime. Just be aware that in the beginning it can go either way -- some see a quick drop initially due to water, some others' bodies actually hold onto water so it takes 4-6 weeks to start seeing results on the scale (usually this is with intense work out regimes where muscle repair is happening --- like newbie lifters).
Do what you can and go from there.0
