I've been wearing an Sync-Active activity tracker since May and I have been wondering about its veracity. It seems to be recording longer distance than I am walking or moving about. Could having it in my pocket make it give false readings? Should it be worn on my belt as they suggest? Does riding in a car register as steps?

I'm not familiar with that one but the only way to know if yours is adding steps from driving is to take it for a drive and see.
Usually they do best when worn as instructed.
Even if it's not very accurate in absolute values, it should be useful for trend analysis.0 -
I have a fit bit flex that I wear on my wrist that I think is pretty accurate. It doesn't register car rides! Lol.
If you have your tracker in you pocket and it jingles around it might give you a false reading I think. Just don't play with your pockets?
Ok everyone...get your minds out of the gutter!! :-)0 -
What the hell is a sync-active?0
