I've been hooked on breakfast burritos lately.
Egg, lean hamburger, cheese, sour cream, salsa... all wrapped up in a (for me, gluten-free) tortilla.0 -
I say: 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg, canadian bacon; it's Lower calorie, lotsa protein and totally delicious. Also, if you like toast with your breakfast, Wonderbread has a new bread out that looks and tastes just like white bread but only 50cal per slice and 5 grams of fiber for two slices, plus calcium. If you're like me and love bagels and cream cheese and lox, then I guess the best I can say is don't do it often or just eat half the bagel (they do have fat free cream cheese that has quite a bit of protein in it. I just don't like it though, not creamy enough). Oh, and I almost forgot! Hostess has a 100-calorie crumb cakes that are to die for. So good! and a good source of fiber.0

I like 3 egg whites, turkey bacon (2), soy american cheese slice, and a slice of tomato all on a wheat bun or sandwich thin. With the thin it's a grand total of about 255 cals!0

We love the 110 calorie bagels with fat free slice cheese then put morning star bacon or maple sausage with egg whites on them. I also breakfast burritos are my favorite. Fat free tortillas with salsa, laughing cow cheese and bacon or something in it. So good.0

Two ego whole grain waffles-180 cals (you can save 80 calories by having two slices of whole wheat toast instead- 50 cals each)
Two egg beaters 60 cals
Two slices Turkey bacon 70 cal
1/4 cup sugar free syrup 20 cals
Total cals: 3300 -
I love big breakfast too, and learned here how AWFUL my weekend breakfasts are.
Last weekend my husband made me a healthier version of eggs benedict (one of my favorites)
whole wheat english muffin
smoked salmon (one of my recommended foods to lower my cholesteral)
pouched egg, which he cooked just right so the yolk was gooey enough to substitute for the terribly unhealthy sauce I'd usually slather on top!
Now if I could just find a substitute for biscuits and suasage gravy I'd be all set, LOL
Also on weekends when we have a big breakfast we do it later as brunch and then I drink water and eat fruit and hold out for a healthy dinner so I don't intake too many calories for the day.0
