Does anyone have any solid advice about the 5 hour energy shots? As I am doing this diet thing and watching calories and such are the shots OK to take or will they mess with the metabolism that I am trying to get into check.

I personally have not heard of adverse reaction to them when it comes to metabolism.
But I wouldn't take them personally. I get plenty of rest, drink lots of water, and have a balanced diet...which is what I need to keep my energy levels where they need to be. I just don't like to put anything else into my body "just in case" something might happen.0 -
They're mostly caffiene, most are anyway.
Try the protein powders if you haven't gone that route....so great for replenishment and mixed with a little yogurt...yum0
