Recovery From Enforced Fast

Hello all.
In a few weeks I have to go for a colonoscopy which includes not eating for 24 hours before and taking laxatives.
I'd appreciate any advice on the impact this will have on my weight gain goals. Essentially, do I just eat as normal up until the 24 hours before, then start packing it back on after the procedure? Realistically, will I have to accept that I will likely lose weight that week?
Any information gratefully received, or if you need more information from me, feel free to ask.
Thanks very much for your time.

Any impact due to fasting and refeeding will be short lived, don't over think, follow the instructions provided to you for the prep. I've had a few of these and once over, I just carry on as normal.0
