Scooby Accurate Calorie Calculator confusion .. HELP!

When I put in all my stats on this website it says I should be eating 1380 a day. I put that I am lightly active (I work out 20 mins 5x a week). Should I be eating 1380 even on days that I am NOT working out?

Yes, with the TDEE method you eat the same every day of the week, it takes the days you do workout into account to form an average

what was the percentage off your TDEE? 1380 seems low with 12lbs to lose...

If it was greater than 5-10% then no that number is not correct.

    I put 25% calorie reduction. I'm 133 5'4'' and lightly active.

When I put your numbers in and use the 15% rate, I get 1567 calories for you. That's what the calculator is suggesting you eat every day. With a TDEE of 1844 and a BMR of 1341.

You don't have a lot of weight to lose, and I really think you'll have better success and have more energy to work out if you eat something closer to 1550-1600 every day. I know this only translates to about 0.5 lbs per week. But you don't have a lot of weight to lose. Aiming to lose 0.5 lbs per week is MUCH more realistic. And if you're accurate about your intake (like, logging everything and weighing it on a digital scale) you'll lose and be so much happier while you're doing it. You can fit a lot of your favorite food into 1600 calories per day.

Edit, please note the 1550-1600 suggesting is TOTAL calories, not "net" calories.

Well, that's good news! haha. May I ask why you set it at 15% and not 20% though?

25% is too agressive for 12lbs to lose...10% would be good as it allows for 1/2lb a week...

Yes it might seem like a long time but you want to do this at a reasonable rate so as not to gain it all back after you lose it, or stop because you aren't getting in enough food and give up.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate all your help with this. I'm going to sick to the 1380 for the next 2 weeks because I have a wedding and then shift it to the lower percentage you suggested after. Adding you btw, hope you don't mind! :)
