New here!

Hi everyone, thought it was time I got serious about losing weight. I have always been heavy, and the milestones in my life have added some extra weight that I haven't been diligent enough about losing, (childbirth, quitting smoking, change in job, etc) So now I'm getting serious about logging everything, and being more conscious of my intake in order to lose this burden of weight. I'm lucky that I haven't suffered any consequences from my obesity thus far... but I'm 44 and it will only start to creep up on me if I don't do something now. I'm trying to take a whole foods approach, really limiting nothing, but staying away from processed foods. I'm also "mom" so cooking for the family, and holding some extra calories for an early dinner is what I'm gonna try for a bit. I'm still so new, but logging seems to be working and keeping me accountable!! This is going to be a long journey, and I don't expect quick results.. baby steps :D I welcome friends as well
