Does anyone else count Crystal Light and Vitamin Water zero, among other no-calorie caffeine free drinks in their water consumption? I also count milk. Any thoughts?

  • plain water should be counted as just water.. no other artificial things.. esp not milk! milk shouldn't be considered a water substitute, seeing as it's got loads of calories in it. (I hope your adding those numbers into your diary, they'll sure add up!)

I would think it would be ok to count Crystal Light, although I don't use it. However I wouldn't even touch Vitamin Water Zero's. Or probably Crystal Light for that matter. They put so many chemicals in that crap, you are better off just having the regular stuff with the calories..

(You're body knows how to digest calories, but the chemicals just sit in you're body for years.)
I count milk, in my protein shakes, but not the tiny bit I put in my coffee, although I probably should. It doesn't make much of a difference sine I drink 1%.

I count the flavor packs in my diary that I add to my water occasionally. But I definitely do not count milk as water.

I def count the flavor I add to my water if it has no calories... I am easing myself into major plain water consumption:) The more I eat healthy, the more my body craves plain h2o, but for now,, if it is just a no cal sweetener, hells yeah, I count it:) it helps me drink alot of water.... I am getting to where the reccommended amount to add to your water is a bit strong, so I could prob go down before switching to just plain.
