Watch Pedometer Combo Suggestions?

So I'd love to have a Fit Bit, but I already religiously wear a watch that I feel naked without. I have a friend that has a super nice one that he spent close to $500 on, but unfortunately I don't live in fantasy land and I can't afford to spend $500 on a watch! Not looking for a top of the line oober detailed report, but a decent pedometer and daily activity tracker would be great.

Does anyone have any good suggestions? I'd love to have Fit Bit-like functionality but still function as a watch.

Thanks!

My husband has the garmin pedometer / watch combo and loves it.
  • Thanks. I will check that out.
  • I need a new pedometer also and I am right there with you - $500 is a bit much. Actually it's a lot much! But the larger question for me is - do I need to keep track of something other than steps?

For the most part I am liking my newer Garmin VIVOfit. It even nags me when I am not active.
These red lines appear on the face to indicate that I need to get moving.
Once I get moving enough they disappear.
    Good luck.

I have the LifeTrak watch. It does my heartrate, steps, calories etc... You can find them at the radio shack for less than $100. I have tried many others and this one was the most userfriendly for me. I wear it everyday and absolutely love it!!! I work in a sporting goods store and have tried many of the top of the line watches but this one was just the best for me personally. Another thing I use is the Edmondo App, it is free and has GPS but it takes other things into consideration when calculating calories burned such as incline, temperature, speed, and of course your personal specs. I use both of them. My boyfriend always has edmondo on as well so we can track each others hikes! We are avid hikers so it works for us!
