Are there any vegan soy-free foods that are high in protien compared to carbs n fat? A lot of them I found on the internet have comes with too much carbs n fat. I'm trying to maintain 50% protien 30% carbs 20% fat for strength training, so I need a lot of protien than carbs n fat. Any idea of such food items?

Lentils and beans are good sources of protein. Also very filling.

Try Seitan - It's a great vegan, protein source. I make my own... Here's the recipe I use:

This recipe isn't soy free, but you could easily make the adjustments necessary - I think you'd just have to subsitutute something for the soy sauce (Tamari). (maybe the worchestershire sauce, too, if that has soy in it.) I like this recipe because you bake the Seitan - lot of recipes have you boil it in broth to cook it, which seems so much messier.
  • Wow, that recipe has a great ratio! Never tried wheat gluten... Thanks boi
