Hello! I have been using Sparkpeople for 2 weeks and have lost 1 pound... one of my friends recommended this site so I joined today. Sparkpeople seemed "busy," and this seems more low key.

I'd like to lose about 75 pounds. I lost 12 earlier this summer, but put most of it back on when on vacation last month. So... here I go again!

I live in Michigan... have a daughter... and work for the Court system.

Any advice/tips/tricks?

log everything, every day for success!
Also, eat back 1/2 to all of your exercise calories (something different from Sparkpeople.)

    Good luck!

    Thank you!

So far I'm finding I like MFP better.... less "clutter" and more "real."

I also came from Sparkpeople ( a few years ago). It's a great site, but yeah, it got very busy & cluttered.

MFP is much neater and streamlined.

Advice - Don't just log your food by estimate - weigh what you eat. The foodscale has been my most utilized tool!

I actually logged into my spark people account the other day.
I forgot how much like myspace it was!
At the time I used it I had a myspace account but it was blocked at work. Sparkpeople wasn't blocked. lolol.
    Too much stuff going on.
