    Uhhh...protein can spike blood sugar. Just thought I'd throw that out there...

    EDIT: I should add the insulin production plays a part in that, but you did mention diabetes

    And i unintentionally went into ketosis eating them so I believe their claims
    Based on what happens to me after eating two of them, I'll believe their fiber claims.

    Some of the flavours are horribly synthetic, at least to non-Americans.

    The ingredients list, for example :-

    Protein Blend (Whey Protein Isolate, Milk Protein Isolate), Isomalto-Oligosaccharides (Prebiotic Fiber), Almonds, Water, Unsweetened Chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Erythritol. Contains Less than 2% of the following: Sea Salt, Stevia, Natural Flavorings, Sucralose.

    includes ingredients like Oligosaccharides and Sugar alcohols that are classified differently in various jurisdictions as to their calorific value, whether they count as fiber or not, etc etc.

    As far as protein & meal replacement bars go there are definitely worse options out there, but they are still highly processed & made with some questionable ingredients. It's always better to get your protein from whole food sources

    I agree. Whole food sources are the only way to get good protein.

    The second link only brings me to a class action complaint for Quest which is just a lawsuit. Still doesn't prove anything.
    Third link is the actual lawsuit. Still not proven because these are just allegations against Quest.
    The fourth is the response to the claim. Still nothing proven.

    Nothing has come of this complaint that you sent me so far. That I can find at least.

    I love Quest Bars. I buy them off the website or Amazon where they are cheaper. If you order 12 of any bars, from the Quest website, it now counts as a case and they are $24.99. I always search for a free shipping coupon code, so I have never paid for shipping. I just ordered some of the protein chips. I have only had the Sour Cream and Cheddar, but they were pretty good. They help with cravings and binges!! Luckily my husband and daughter hates them, so I only have to hide them from myself, because I tend to only want to eat those and no real food, because they are so convenient.

    I think these are pretty good for something sweetened without sugar. Since I'm not aiming for low carb right now, I don't see the need to have any of the artificial sweetener taste (I noticed this even in the Stevia versions, might be the sugar alcohol?). I am going to eat and enjoy the rest that I bought, and might try Clif bars next.

    I emailed Quest regarding this math a few moths ago because I had the same thinking. The calories on them are for the most part correct, the FDA allows/tells them to round to the nearest 5/10 calories so that's what they do. Like the apple pie is actually 176 calories but the label says 180. The carb count contains the fiber and the sugar alcohols. Sugar alcohols have no calories and I believe the Quest rep said that fiber is less than 4 calories per gram? I can't remember the details and I'm not well versed in the science. However, I do know that all carbs are not created equal in the terms of calories. Just go by the label calories.

    I'm going to have to disagree with you here. My blood sugar was very high (like 300's) so I went on a low calorie diet that involved eating a quest bar every day (some days 2). My blood sugar went to normal levels within a week.

    I'm also curious where you got them on sale and how much per box? I found a store near my family that sells them for $20/box and I stock up whenever I go to visit but due to the price they never have a full stock of all the flavors so sometimes I can't get all my favorites.
