Question about logging food

I am starting to be more diligent about weighing and logging my food intake, so I have some questions. Is there a way to edit an existing entry in the food database to show the calories in one gram of the food? For example, I had 12g of peanut butter this morning and the entries I saw have the weight of a 2 tablespoon serving which is 38g. Can I edit an entry to show 1 gram and then I can put in 12 as the number of servings? Of course, I can always do the 12/28g = .428 rounded to .43.

Just wondering. Would like to make this a little easier if possible. Also, is there a good thread about weighing food?
