The past is my future!

Hello everybody,
well I am 25 years old, 74 kg (163.1lbs), 156cm (5.11 ft) and a former athlete(my legs are like stones!). When I went to college I had to stop training and I got heavier and heavier by the day.
Now I decided to get back in track, but my body doesn't work with me anymore!
I've been dieting for 2 weeks now and doing some cardio (running, biking) but my muscle mass is increasing and I weight the same.
Any ideas and suggestions to help me be ME again?
Thank you in advance

P.S. My goal weight is 59kg.

Don't focus too much on your weight especially if your planning on gaining muscle, use measurements and your reflection as well as weighing yourself. However, too many people kid themselves as to how much muscle they can gain in a week, if your gaining .5lbs a week of pure muscle (which is almost impossible to accurately gauge) your doing better than most. So it's likely that any lack of movement on the scales is more down to how many calories your eating

Edit- actually if your gaining .5lbs of muscle a week that's 24lbs a year which is off the scale muscle growth, unless your a 'user'
  • So I should keep excersising and don't mind that my scale is stuck? The thing is that I look like a woman bodybuilder with all this muscle mass I have.
