i totally spent a lot of calories too! i am soooo pissed right now it's not even funny. i went to arby's and i got the roast turkey & swiss sandwich, which didn't seem like it would have a lot of calories...but i got home, ate it, and found out it has 710 calories to my horror! i was supposed to have the roast chicken ranch sandwich, which only had about 340 calories, but when i got to the drive thru i couldn't see it on the menu...so i thought the roast turkey & swiss would be the next best thing...WRONG! ugh...so bummed right now. plus, i had the jalapeno bites which were only about 320 calories (fries had more calories). so total i consumed 1,010 calories for lunch...now i have about 400 left for dinner...great. sorry, just needed to vent a little.

That happened to me today, too, except with Sonic. I didn't know mine had that many calories. I ate it before getting home, logged it and found out that it had A LOT. I feel your pain lol. We all make little uh-ohs like that. We'll make up for it.
  • The good news is that tomorrow is a new day and you can start over!! You'll be fine. Keep your chin up :)

That sucks! Because of that I have researched many of the places that I might end up eating and choosing three or four different meal options that are reasonable calorie ranges, and put it into a memo on my phone.

I find that these types of places find weird mysterious places to hide calories and it isn't always easy to tell what will be high in calories or not. Still, you were honest with yourself and that is a great step in the right direction. Take a deep breath and start over tomorrow.

OK, just so y'all are warned... stay away from Zaxby's too. I got a grilled chicken sandwich thinking it would be the low-cal item on the menu, but it was WAYY high too, even without the honey mustard sauce. 701 calories for just the sandwich, 577 without the sauce. If you get fries too, 1071 calories, even without a drink! Talk about a way to completely blow it!

If you have iPhone, there is a great free app you can use to check calorie values for fast food restaurants. It can be found under Healthcare & Fitness / Top Free / Fast Food Calories...

and...don't worry, tomorrow is a new day, drink plenty of water today...you will be fine :)

If I go to Arby's, I usually get French Dip Sub which is about 640 calories. No fries. If you must get fries, two potato triangles is a serving and way less than curly fries. The italian sub is over 800 calories. Looks are so deceiving. :noway:

Just went to DQ the kids wanted a treat and well I know it isn't good to give them ice cream as a treat and stuff but once in while its nice.....I figured I would treat myself too...I was good (so I thought) and ordered a mini cookie dough blizzard....400 calories...blah
  • I did that too. At DQ I thought the mini blizzard would be around 200 cal. Nope, 400. Ug.

Forgot to mention... if you're watching sodium too, Zaxby's is OFF THE CHART!
