Thinking of updating my hrm...suggestions?

Right now I have the Polar ft4 and I still love it after years of use. However, I want to upgrade to something with a few more bells and whistles. However, I don't know much about heart rate monitors and which brands are best. I just know I want one that's runner friendly, meaning it tracks pace and miles I've run, and also something that tracks calories burned, preferably with a chest strap since I heard that's more accurate. What do you think? Should I stick with Polar, or is there another brand that would be better?

Given that you're wanting a GPS tracker it sounds like you're after a Garmin device. That said the dcrainmaker blog gives some very good, detailed reviews of the available devices, so I'd suggest hunting that down.0

If you're looking for a GPS running watch, you can never go wrong with a Garmin. That's my preference.
Regarding HR monitoring, Mio optical wristbands are over 99% accurate now. I would highly recommend the Mio Link. It's just as accurate, comfortable, and no chafing on long runs from the chest strap.
This is the first look review before the Link was released:

There are only a couple of watches that integrate all into one unit.
One is the TomTom Multisport Cardio:

Another is the Adidas:
