Chipotle Brown or white Rice?

I am no expert at calorie counting or nutrition in general but I am trying to make a better effort of researching nutritional info at restaurants that I frequent. I noticed on Chipotle's site that a bowl with white rice is actually fewer calories then brown rice. I thought brown was the healthier option?

I love their white rice because it is cilantro-lime yum! But I didn't realize that.

I choose brown everywhere else and at home...but white at Chipotle. That's interesting though!

Lowest calories is not the same thing as healthiest, although I really don't think the difference between white and brown rice is that great. Whole grains in general have the same or slightly more calories than the white versions, but more fiber and a lot of people find them more filling.

Yes Indeed, the combination of the rice, the cilantro-lime, lemon juice and salt...we joke that they ad cocaine to it so we become addicted to it.

Here is the comparison. "Healthy" is a relative term. If you need increase your iron, decrease your sodium, etc etc, you can look at how the two compare.

From a calorie perspective, although the white rice is slightly less caloric per serving, Chipotle servings are imprecise at best. You are at the mercy of someone scooping an eyeballed amount. It's never going to be 100% accurate.
