Good morning everyone.
I've enjoyed reading others post, great to hear everyones stories and great for motivatio and refocusing on goals, but I rarely post myself. So this is my first
At the start of the year I decided i want to lose some weigh( lol as we do every year) I was really starting to gain weight ( 85+kg ,5" 6)
Starting with a bit of running in the local park with friends and join the work/ team January fat club, great having the moral support of ppl i work with. I used a food diary to keep a check on my calories. I fould this an extremely useful tool, not only did it help me keep track, but it increase the guilt i felt when i wanted that chocky bar ..haha the shame of logging it!
8 months on and im now a keen 5k -10k runner and have lost 12 kgs. I still have the odd blip..haha currently recovering from a boozy night and a portion of meat and chips! However overall I'm very happy with the lifestyle changes i have made in the past 8months, my aim now is to lose 1kg a month for the next 5months. I find a slow burn is better as it stops my weight from yo-yo-ing , it also helps to prevent food urges as your body adapts to changes slowly.
Good luck everyone, and i look foward to reading your posts.
