Never thought I would find myself a college student at my age. I've had 35 successful years in sales and management but because of a severe form of fibromyalgia, I am embarking on a whole new career that can be done from my home.
The biggest challenge of being a student and having FM is that the days of running 5 miles, rollerblading 11 miles are over.
I really miss working out. I thought about getting the new Xbox with the Kinect bundle but was afraid to spend the money.
But, after reading all the reviews on this site, I went and bought one and put it together last night after class.
I found myself at 1 AM exercising! It was so much fun, being on a raft flying down the river it didn't feel like I was exercising. OK, I admit, I didn't do so well at the game...I took out every rock or board that was in my path, but it was so much fun!
I'm so grateful you guys wrote the reviews! I think this is the best investment I've made in a long time. I plan on getting fit again, in my own living room, having a blast!!

From a 43 year old college student....You are such an inspiration! I asked Santa to bring me the Kinect along with other games for our Wii. Thank YOU for letting us know how you like the Kinect!!

Thanks, Lori. You are going to LOVE it!!

YOU are the inspiration having lost 32 lbs. I'm excited to have found this site and just downloaded the app on my iphone.

Great to have support when trying to make changes in your life.

I also struggle with chronic pain and other issues that make working out like I would like to very difficult :( Congratulations on you purchase !!!!! Makes me wish I had an xbox! I can't look at bright lights or flashing lights at all. Kinda rules out video game stuff :( I LUV to walk outside (and so do my dogs!) so I do what I can do and try not to sit in my pittypot. There is a fine line between pushing yourself with encouragement and naziing yourself into a throbbing painful mess the next day! ;) Just remember to be kind to yourself and enjoy the moment your in (flying down the "river"in your raft:)) Add me as a friend if you like!

:flowerforyou: Thank C. It is difficult for people to understand sometimes the effect chronic pain has on our body but even worse, our mental state. Everything that use to be simple becomes a challenge.

I have that same problem with the bright lights but found the screen didn't bother me. I miss walking my dogs. I lost 40# easily last year just walking my 11 month old Goldendoodle. Unfortunately, the leasing agent at my apartment made me find a home for him because he grew 20# more than the acceptable 50# limit. Since I found him a home last March I have gained back 20#.

I love your reminder to enjoy the moment while I'm sailing down on my raft! I will

Not sure yet how to add you as a friend but as soon as I figure it out, I will. It's great to have support in this crazy life.

    Enjoy your walk.
