Planning Calories / Macros in Meals Daily

Already asked a question about macros and was told i don't need to worry so much how much macros i have per meal as long as i achieve my daily targets. I assume this is correct.

I noticed i have trouble with balancing my calories. As i get towards the end of the day, I'm limited as i didn't consider the calories enough earlier in the day.

I was considering splitting my day up into 6 hours, and assigning a 'maximum' calorie to each meal. If i under-eat in calories, i can have a snack or shift it to the next meal and so on. I know i don't HAVE to do this but want to give something a go to plan my meals.

I assume the deal with macros and not having to eat my %s evenly in each meal still applies here? I shouldn't see any negative results by doing this should i?
