DEAR MFP FRIENDS,
WHY IT SO HARD TO STAY MOVIVATED? LIKE I WOULD DO SO GOOD ONE WEEK BUT MAKING HEALTH CHOICES, THEN THE NEXT WEEK IS HARD TO STAY MOVIVATED ON MAKING THE HEALTH CHOICES LIKE GOING TO THE GYM AND EAT RIGHT. AND NO THAT THE HOLIDAYS ARE AROUND ITS GOING TO BE EVEN TOUGHER. WHAT SHOULD I DO TO STILL BE MORE MOVIVATED. THANKS KRYSTAL

You have to decide for yourself that this is something that you want to do. If you want to "treat" yourself over the holidays, work out a little more and try to concentrate on sensible portion sizes. It's up to you to make those choices. Decide what's more important to you, a second helping of dessert or being healthy and able to wear a certain size clothing. You're the only person that can make those decisions for yourself. It's up to you. If you want it badly enough, you'll find the strength to get off your butt and into the gym. Life is tough. Be tougher!0

It's kinda up to you to keep yourself motivated. You have to remember why you want to eat healthy and why you want to exercise and you should always keep those reasons in mind. Yes, you will have bad days but that doesn't mean you should give up, you should just start fresh the next day and try to have a better one. I go to the gym 6 days a week and there are days I really don't want to go, but I go anyway. Make it so it's not optional to go. It's something you have to do like brushing your teeth. And trust me I know how hard it is with the holidays but don't let it be an excuse to give up. You can enjoy some of the things you love this time of year but in smaller portions. Don't completely give up all your favorite things or it'll make you resent eating healthy.
It also may help to work at small goals. I've been incorporating mine into the holidays and every other thing going on this month. Like I'm attending a friend's party in 2 weeks and my goal is to lose 6 lbs by then and if I succeed, I'm going to reward myself by buying a new outfit for the party. Little things like that keep me going
Good luck to you. You can do it!!0 -
