TDEE help?????

So I'm told I need to burn 500 calories a day and eat 500 calories less a day to lose two pounds a week. Is the 500 less calories 500 less than my TDEE? If so Then I would be only eating 1064 calories a day because my TDEE is 1564, that seems insanely low even for a small person. I'm 5'2 and 117 pounds, age 31 female.
Only helpful answers regarding the mathematics of this please, I know I'm a healthy weight as it is. I'm just curious why this seems so wrong to me.

You are 117 pounds. No reason for you to be losing 2lbs. a week.

ETA: your profile says you only have 3lbs. to lose. A weight loss of .5lbs a week is all you need at the most.

From my understanding if you have a smaller amount of weight to lose, you should set it to lose only 1 lb a week. That would increase it a couple hundred calories, which as you know is much healthier.

Only someone with a lot of weight to lose can lose 2 lbs a week in a healthy manner. That's why the math isn't working. Set your goal to 0.5 lbs per week and you will be given a healthy and realistic number of calories to eat.

    Agreed!

In fact I'm going to guess that you probably don't need to lose any more weight....what is your goal? To lose inches/drop body fat percentage? Body recomp? Strength? Just to be firm and fit?

Definitely don't need a 1000 cal deficit. I would take maybe 10% from your TDEE at the very most, and start lifting the heaviest weights you can find if you're not already.

Your BMR is roughly 1310 so you don't want to eat less than that

With the online calculator I use at a sedentary activity level to get to 114 pounds (hence your ticker goal) you would eat 1556. And 1783 at lightly active. This includes your exercise burns and is a goal to help you lose those 3 pounds

So if this were me I would eat roughly 1600 - 1650 calories each day. Closer to 1600 if you don't work out on a day and closer to 1650 or even 1700 on a day you do work out.

Thank you for the help everyone. I guess My goals need to be updated because my goal shouldn't say 114, don't know why it does. My goal is 110.
However I get what you all are saying that it would only be good for much bigger people to lose two pounds a week. I should have specified, I don't actually want to lose two pounds a week. It was purely out curiosity that I was asking, but now I see why the numbers don't make sense, because I'm fairly small.
So basically for someone as small as me, you would have to be starving yourself to lose two pounds in a week .

I just reread my last update message and for some reason it sounded rude, wasn't meant to. So sorry.
