I have both an iPhone 5s and the new samsung galaxy s5 phones ..both have fitness modes on them ..the galaxy s5 has its own brand and the iPhone I've been using the accupedo one .. i jog/walk indoors while at work so I've been using both apps to track my workouts but the difference between them is vast .. both set at same time to start etc but steps are about 400 out and the milage/cals burned is just too far out to tell whats what ..i don't want to go to the expense of a fit bit or anything similar if this is going to be yet another different reading at the end of it all..without getting out the tape measure I'm still in the dark distance wise.. difference between the iPhone and galaxy is almost 3 miles and 500 calories ..
Any other apps out there i can get that are almost accurate ?

I've compared my Samsung S5 pedometer app, with my treadmill, and 2 other apps (Lark and Map my walk). The S5 seems pretty much on target as far as mileage/steps. Calories on the other hand really depend on added info such as age, current weight, BMI, etc. My treadmill does not have that function so I can't compare it. But it does seem pretty close to S5 and the apps I use. My advice if you want to use the iphone, get 2-3 apps, turn them all on and compare.0

Haha very! But that's how it goes I guess. I'm actually considering a fitbit. I fail so bad at carrying my phone around the house with me, and I'm always up cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, etc so my steps/calories burned never get counted. I manually calculate and enter calories daily but it's a pain!0

on working days thats the easiest part for me as i sleep all day and only get up to goto the toilet .. lol then get ready for work and leave usually .. working 12hr night shifts kinda screws up the exercise plans hence i do mine at work during the night .. I'm gonna look at the phone apps again tonight and see if theres any way of resetting them in any way .. i guess its all guesswork at the end of the day.. lol0
