Low-Carb/Fiber Confusion

Hi all, recently I've been attempting to see how a low-carb eating plan works for me. I am recent vegan/vegetarian turned pescaterian. My internet research says that super low-carb would be below 50 grams of carbs per day (ketosis) and that 50-100 grams of carbs would be a moderate restriction on carbohydrates. I've been moderate. Additionally I have read that one should subtract the total number of fiber grams from the total carb grams in order to see the actual carb intake. Is this correct? Basically, I still eat about 1-2 servings per day of fruit, a hefty amount of vegetables, and very small amounts of grain here and there. I don't see the sense of not eating produce in order to lower my carb intake, but it makes it awfully hard to stay low carb otherwise - unless I minus the fiber? Any experts out there have insight? Thanks in advance.

Depends where you are, American labels have "Total carbohydrate" which includes "Fiber" hence the concept of "Net carbs" or "Impact carbs" by subtracting the fiber from the total.
Setting aside the grains, Atkins diet starts at 20g of net carbs per day with 12-15g of those from vegetables.
If you pick the low carb veg you can eat a pound a day of them within even this limit.0
