I watched this when I came home from work on Sunday morning, honestly not sure what to make of it, Stewart's car seemed to fishtail slightly before contact and I'm not sure if it was because he was trying to avoid the collision, I find it very hard to believe that he would deliberately try to mow the lad down, what the hell he was thinking off walking on to the track to confront anyone anyway, it was an act of sheer lunacy. RIP to him and my heart goes out to his friends and family. Very sad and tragic incident.0

Sprint cars are made to run at an angle. When they accelerate, the back end tails around to sort of drift. So if he accelerated (which most sprint car drivers do during cautions to keep tires warmed up) the back end would fish tail. The other guy had no business being in the MIDDLE of the DARK track wearing a BLACK jump suit. The first thing that is taught in driver safety is to stay in your car unless there is a fire. He ignored that, then RAN AT an oncoming car. It's unfortunate, and he was a hotheaded idiot. Stewart is a big name, even if he wanted to murder the guy, he's smart enough to know that a superstar at a tiny track would get national attention for anything, especially someone being run over.
So my conclusion is that he's neither. He's just someone that was in a bad situation. Stop taking life as if it's black and white.0 -

The kid should have known better and Stewart was careless. I think he should get hit with involuntary manslaughter, i find it odd that everyone but him was able to miss the kid and he sped up knowing the car would fishtail.0

unintentional murder. you don't gun the engine like that near someone, whether they should be there or not.0

I watched the video and I'm going to have to go with this early assessment:
1. Yes, Tony was being a douche by running him off the road.
2. Victim should NOT have angrily walked onto the track.0 -

Except for the fact that every sprint car driver revs the engine during caution to keep the motor and tires warm. But yea let's say he did it to hit the kid. Screw logical reasoning!0
